Everyone knows that I am a HUGE supporter of creating handmade keepsakes for the Holidays, whether it’s ornaments for the tree, home decor pieces or gifts for the loved ones. It’s this time of the year that we can truly support artists and their creations, and I try my hardest to buy handmade this time of year to help our community thrive and continue to grow.

I’d like to share with all of you a quick and easy project that I’ve created for the 5th Annual Handmade Holidays Blog Hop. This is the second year that I’ve participated, and there are over 80 ideas from fellow artists being presented over a three day period. On the ICE Resin Blog, I have a great tutorial for how to create these fun Scrabble board pendent pieces that are so quick and easy to create.

Even if you’ve created these fun pendents before, I encourage you to hop over to the blog post and check out some of the other ideas I’m showing for different ways of finishing your pieces including adding color with Iced Enamels, along with creating a faux druzie effect with German Glass Iced Inclusions.

And if those weren’t enough ideas for wetting your appetite, how about making mini collage pieces with your favorite scrapbook papers as a background? For those who want to learn how to make a more elegant pendent, I also show how to add some bling using faux rhinestone brad. This same technique can be used for dominoes as well!

In case you missed the first two days of the Handmade Holidays on the ICE Resin blog, I wanted to share with you a couple of other project ideas. Fellow Creative Team Member Chantal Johnson (left) shows how to make these fabulous necklaces that could easily be transformed into ornaments as well.

Clare Horner, another Creative Team Member, has a great tutorial on making these fun ornaments (right). Again this project could be easily made to be worn as jewelry or even to hang from the rear view mirror in the car! The majority of the projects that were created for the Handmade Holidays event had versatility in mind, meaning that they’re projects and ideas that can be created anytime of the year!
