When I looked at my calendar this week and realized that it was September, my first reaction was “where did the summer go?” The majority of my summer was spent teaching classes, with the realization that I was traveling more than I was actually home enjoying the Pacific Northwest sunshine.

The month of July found me touring through out Australia with the Art Is You Australian Roadshow with retreats in Perth, Sydney and Noosa with an amazing group of artists – Michael DeMeng, Andrea Matus-DeMeng, Kecia Frazee-Deveney, Seth Apter and Linda Lucas lead by the incredible Sallianne McClelland. I’ve created a photo album of some of the highlights on my Facebook page.

Mid August found me flying to Lincoln NE to teach at Pages In Time Scrapbook and to have a fabulous weekend with an amazing group of ladies who inspired me with their projects and ideas. And not to mention they introduced me to Runza’s (pretty darn good!) and as one student commented “It can’t be that bad in Nebraska – Warren Buffet lives here.” And I can’t wait to return next Spring for even more adventures! Take a moment to get inspired by some of the completed projects made in class.

And as if I couldn’t get enough of Australia the first go around, I returned to Melbourne at the end of August for the Paperific Expo, sponsored by Hobbysew Echuca. I was beyond delighted that Karen McInnes asked myself and fellow Prima Educator Cari Fannell to teach classes and demonstrate during the Expo. Visit my photo album from my visit to Melbourne where you can meet our mascot for the trip, the bright yellow gnome we found in the yard of our rental house that we named Vic.

And since Summer isn’t officially over for a couple more weeks, I’d like to introduce you to one of my newest classes that I’m introducing this weekend at Scrapbooking Forever in Westlake Village CA. This is the debut of this all day workshop and will be the only time this class will be taught in 2016. To register for this class give the store a call at (805)379-4901.

There’s a few more opportunities to join me for classes in 2016 – check out my class listing for upcoming dates.

Another highlight of this summer – yours truly is currently featured as “The Men Who Make It” in the current issue of Where Women Create! The article features a look inside of my studio, along with the artistic journey that has lead me to where I am today. My sincere thank you to talented and amazing Sandra Evertson who made paths cross to make this opportunity happen.

Enjoy the last days of summer – until next time my friends!
